Every Ending Plants a Seed: The ending that planted my sunflower
Not every ending is a loss. Some are just seeds waiting for the right season. đ»
When I lived in Seattle, I bought a house with a little flower bed out front. At the time, I didnât think much of it. I was busy setting up, working, and trying to keep up with life.
Recently, I came across an old photo of that house and noticed something I had completely forgotten about: a single sunflower standing tall in the front yard.
My father loved sunflowers. Back then, I didnât connect the dots. But now I see it clearly; even in the midst of my new beginning, my parents were with me, planting reminders of hope and presence right where I was.
That sunflower wasnât just a flower. It was a seed of reassurance: Endings bloom into beginnings, even when we donât recognize them yet.
đ± Endings Are Not Failures
Over the years, Iâve walked through so many endings; jobs, relationships, relocations, even old versions of myself. At the time, each one felt heavy. But looking back, I see how every ending carried the seed of something greater.
âš Hereâs the truth: Endings are not failures. They are transitions. Seeds disguised as loss.
So if youâre walking through an ending right now, know that something is already planted. You may not see it yet, but one day youâll look back and realize that moment was the soil of your rebirth.
đ Reflect With Me
Whatâs one ending in your life that secretly prepared you for a new beginning?
Where might a hidden âsunflowerâ already be blooming in your story?
đ Whatâs Next
Iâll be sharing more about these transitions in my upcoming podcast, Becoming Natalie: The Soul Wealth Podcast, and in my book Becoming Natalie. Stay tuned â both are coming soon.
đ If this resonated, share this newsletter with someone who needs to hear that their endings are not the end. They are the beginning.
With grace,
Natalie
