Delulu Energy & the Male Gaze: Why I Post for Me
Thereās a certain kind of delusion that floats around social media. The kind that makes some men believe a womanās visibility exists for their validation. The kind that confuses expression with invitation.
Iāve noticed how often men comment under womenās posts; sometimes calling them ācute,ā sometimes offering unsolicited admiration, and then act offended when she doesnāt respond. As if every post, every picture, every reflection was secretly meant for them. As if silence is arrogance rather than autonomy.
Letās clear something up.
When I post, Iām not seeking attention, Iām documenting my becoming. My words, my reflections, my photos, even my quiet moments, theyāre part of my personal evolution. Yet some men still believe that by acknowledging them, I somehow owe them something in return. Itās wild how entitlement has replaced genuine curiosity.
š The āCuteā Conundrum
Being called ācuteā isnāt always flattering. For many grown women, it feels like a soft erasure; a way to downplay depth, intellect, and sensuality. Itās the language of safety for men who want to compliment without being vulnerable. But for women whoāve done the work, it can feel dismissive.
When a man calls you ācute,ā he often doesnāt realize heās flattening your complexity into something easy to digest. But Iām not here to be easy to digest. Iām here to be understood.
āļø Visibility ā Availability
Whatās often mistaken for attitude is actually energetic discernment.
If I choose not to respond to a comment, itās not ego, itās energetic hygiene. Iām allowed to share publicly without performing gratitude privately.
My page, my energy, my story. These are not open auditions.
Itās unsettling how fragile egos can become when they donāt receive the validation they assumed they deserved. They mistake boundaries for rejection, self-possession for conceit.
And the irony? The more a woman centers herself, the more sheās accused of arrogance. When in truth, sheās simply liberated.
š¹ For the Women Who Post for Themselves
To every woman whoās ever hesitated to share her truth because she didnāt want to āencourageā someoneās projectionsā¦.I see you.
Youāre not vain for taking up space.
Youāre not arrogant for loving your reflection.
Youāre not heartless for protecting your peace.
Your online presence isnāt a fishing net, itās a mirror. Youāre sharing the evolution of your soul, not auditioning for attention.
And to the men who think a womanās confidence is for them: itās not.
Sheās not performing; sheās remembering who she is.
šļø Soul Wealth Rebirth⢠Affirmation
āMy visibility is not a permission slip.
I create for connection, not consumption.
I post for me, not for your projection.
My expression is sacred, and my boundaries are holy.ā
With grace,
Natalie B.
