Title: Did I Leave the Faith, or Did I Go Deeper?
The other day, I received a message on Instagram from an old colleague:
“I see your posts about your spiritual journey and wanted to ask about your faith in Christ. When we were working together you were a Christian, a believer in the teachings of Jesus, if I remember correctly? What caused you to leave the faith?”
Her words were gentle, curious, and came from a place of care. Still, I know she was voicing what others may also wonder but don’t say out loud.
Here’s my truth: I haven’t left faith. I’ve gone deeper.
I no longer identify with organized religion, but my connection to God is more alive, more personal, and more expansive than ever before. I still carry Christ’s teachings in my heart, yet I see them now as part of a much bigger tapestry of divine truth.
🌿 Faith vs. Religion
We’ve been conditioned to believe that faith can only live inside the walls of religion. That leaving the institution means leaving God. But that’s not true.
Religion gave me a foundation. It planted seeds. But over time, I realized that the walls that were meant to protect had also become limits. My soul was being called to experience God directly, not just through sermons, doctrines, or man-made traditions.
And when I followed that call? My relationship with God didn’t weaken, it grew stronger, more intimate, more unshakable.
🌿 To Anyone Wondering the Same…
If you’ve ever felt your faith shifting… if you’ve questioned what you were taught… if you’ve worried that people will misunderstand, please know this:
You are not “losing” God. You are being invited to meet God in a new way.
Your spiritual journey is yours alone. And questioning doesn’t mean abandoning, it can mean expanding.
🌿 Closing Anchor
My relationship with God is alive, growing, and real. It doesn’t need validation, it simply needs to be lived.
This is a theme I’ll be sharing more about in my upcoming podcast, Becoming Natalie: The Soul Wealth Podcast 🎙️ and in my upcoming book Becoming Natalie 📖. Both will explore my journey of faith, rebirth, and living beyond the limits of what we were taught.
Until then, remember this:
Faith isn’t about fitting into walls. It’s about living in truth.
With love,
Natalie
