✨ SOUL WEALTH CHRONICLES ISSUE 83
What Home Finally Feels Like
I used to think home was a place.
A city.
An address.
A location you move to.
Somewhere you arrive.
And over the years…
I’ve lived in many places.
Jackson.
Dallas.
Southern Virginia.
Orlando.
Tampa.
Seattle.
Los Angeles.
Phoenix.
Charleston.
And each one held a version of me.
But if I’m being honest…
not all of them felt like home.
Some felt temporary.
Some felt uncomfortable.
Some felt like I was just trying to make it work.
And Charleston…
has been a chapter of clarity.
Not comfort.
Living here showed me something
I can’t ignore anymore.
What it feels like…
to be confined.
Shared walls.
Noise.
Limited space.
And I didn’t just feel it.
Teddy and Layla felt it too.
And that’s when it clicked for me.
Home isn’t just about me.
It’s about the environment I create…
for all of us.
Because a home should feel like peace.
Not something you have to tolerate.
Not something you have to adjust to constantly.
It should feel like ease.
Like you can breathe.
And now that I’ve experienced the opposite…
I know what I’m no longer willing to accept.
Because once you know what something doesn’t feel like…
you get clearer about what it should.
And that clarity…
changes what you choose next.
✨ Closing Reflection
There is no place like home…
but only when it feels like peace.
With grace,
Natalie
