SOUL WEALTH CHRONICLES — Reflection
The Friends Who Show Up Quietly
Today a package arrived in the mail from a dear friend in New Orleans.
We met back in 2017 when I purchased his boozy pops after discovering his business on Instagram. What started as a simple customer interaction slowly turned into a genuine friendship. When I later visited New Orleans and met him in person, the connection felt even stronger.
Over the years we developed one of those friendships that doesn’t require constant conversation. We don’t talk all the time, but the connection has always been there.
It’s very much a big brother–big sister type of dynamic. He’s married to a wonderful woman, and our friendship has always been grounded in respect and encouragement. I’ve supported his business over the years because I genuinely love what he creates, and he has always shown up in thoughtful ways when it matters.
When I had my birthday celebration in Vegas recently, he couldn’t make it in person, but he made sure he was there in spirit by sending drinks from his company for the party. That’s the kind of gesture that reminds you someone truly has your back.
Earlier this week he mentioned he was sending me some Morgan Mixers swag. I expected a couple of hoodies and a cup. When the package arrived today, there were a few extra surprises waiting inside.
An insulated tumbler.
A mug.
Two hoodies that fit perfectly.
And something very special from New Orleans……a Zulu Mardi Gras coconut marked “ Zulu 26”.
