Sometimes the biggest realization isn’t learning something new.
Sometimes it’s discovering that you’ve known it for years.
You just didn’t have the language for it yet.
That happened to me recently when I found something I had almost forgotten existed.
An old podcast recording.
Not an episode anyone ever heard.
Not something I published.
Just me, sitting down in 2023 and recording myself because I had an idea.
The podcast was going to be called The Lush Life of Natalie.
And listening to that version of myself more than three years later was fascinating.
Because she was trying to articulate something that present-day me finally understands.
She wanted more.
Not simply more money.
Not simply a different career.
Not simply another place to live.
She wanted a different experience of life.
Freedom.
Abundance.
Love.
Travel.
Creativity.
Peace.
A life that actually felt like hers.
She didn’t necessarily know how to create it.
But she knew she wanted it.
And perhaps more importantly...
she was already trying to give it a voice.
That’s the part that stopped me.
Because here I am in 2026, consistently writing Soul Wealth Rebirth Chronicles and recording Becoming Natalie: The Soul Wealth Rebirth Podcast.
And apparently...
I’ve been trying to have this conversation for years.
The name changed.
The woman changed.
The message matured.
But the desire to document my life, to talk about becoming, abundance, relationships, growth, and creating a life that feels good, was already there.
I just didn’t realize what I was building yet.
And that made me wonder how often we do this.
How often do we dismiss an old idea because it didn’t work the first time?
How often do we assume something failed because it didn’t become what we expected?
Maybe some ideas aren’t failures.
Maybe they’re previews.
Maybe they’re early versions of something we aren’t ready to carry yet.
The woman recording The Lush Life of Natalie wasn’t wrong.
She was early.
She was still searching externally for some of the things I now understand have to be cultivated internally.
She was still trying to figure herself out.
But she knew something.
And hearing her again reminded me that intuition doesn’t always arrive as a grand revelation.
Sometimes it sounds like an idea you can’t stop thinking about.
A project you keep returning to.
A dream you abandon and somehow rediscover years later.
Sometimes your future introduces itself quietly.
And you don’t recognize it until you meet it again.
That’s what happened to me.
I thought I had found an old recording.
Instead...
I found evidence.
Evidence that this version of me didn’t appear overnight.
Evidence that the things I’m creating now have roots.
Evidence that somewhere along the way...
I already knew.
I just didn’t realize it yet.
