I have so much to say on this one. I guess this is where the "preacher's son" comes out. I use to enjoy the conversations I had with my father many years ago when I was at home. I have had a few people who somehow fell into this rapture trend. I found myself asking them what Bible are they reading and if they didn't see Matthew 24:36 or Mark 13:32. A few got upset with me because I followed up with them that Wednesday to see how they were doing. I even had one former co-worker tell me they got the calendar wrong and it was still happening on October 6 or 7th. I just shook my head and said ok. I guess God is on our time now.
Now onto the rest of what you shared. I agree, the rapture does or can happen daily for people who choose clarity over confusion. There's quite a few who will be "left behind", but I've reached a place where I've stopped trying to go back for them.
See Natalie I'm trying to keep it short 😁 but here's a book that I got years ago that helped give me a more enlighten perspective on a number of things, although it's referencing the church you can apply it in other areas of life too. "Dancing with Dinosaurs: Ministry in a Hostile & Hurting World" By William Easum (https://www.amazon.com/Dancing-Dinosaurs-Ministry-Hostile-Hurting/dp/0687316790)
Thank you for always sharing with such depth. I really enjoy reading your reflections. I had to smile at your comment about rescheduling God’s mystery like it’s on our timeline ; so true. What you shared about reaching a place where you stop going back for those who aren’t ready really resonated with me too. And I appreciate the book recommendation. I’ll definitely take a look at it.
I’m fully awake now in the life lesson to listen to your inner spirit. Make sure you’re good first. And aligned with what God has for you. Often times I think of others by thinking of their needs and desires before my own. Life has taught me well. 🙏🏾
Thank you for sharing this. 🌸 It’s so true — when we start listening to our inner spirit and keeping ourselves aligned first, life teaches us lessons in a whole new way. I’m glad you’re honoring that journey for yourself. 🙏🏾💜
